Multi-language support was among the most requested features for our extension, as we have a diverse global user base.
Defining complex words and concepts posed a significant challenge, given the subjective nature of understanding. Our goal was to create a system that provides definitions without causing unnecessary clutter on webpages. Achieving this required the integration of multiple technologies and extensive fine-tuning on our part.

Wiseone's mission to enhance human intelligence and critical thinking in an age of information overload is really smart - I've been listening to some podcasts about cognitive decline in youth (attention spans / reading levels etc) and this is a real issue. The browser extension's features for simplifying complex content and providing diverse perspectives are impressive and might help to remove people from their echo-chambers of thought.

How does the tool select and provide factual information while browsing? Also, are there any plans to integrate with popular search engines?

To answer your questions, our strategy to provide factual information involves a meticulous manual review process to curate a diverse selection of high-quality sources. Currently, we have around 350 different sources from which we extract over 700 million unique facts, constantly updating our database with new information through our ongoing crawling operations.
Regarding search engines, we have an integration with most of the major ones like Google, Bing, Yahoo, and DuckDuckGo. You can toggle it in the extension settings, you should see a widget appear after you make a search on one of these websites!
